Choose Joy

I choose joy,
every day,
dear Lord,
I choose Your Joy!

Your Joy overwhelms my sorrow.
It lightens my grief.

And so…..
I will choose joy,

Dear Lord,
I choose Your Joy!

In my moments
of greatest happiness,
at the peaks
of every mountain,

I choose joy,

I choose Your Joy!

In my darkest sorrows,
standing in ashes of earthly things,
I will stand with you, Lord Jesus,
And I will choose Your Joy!

As tears fall amidst the ruins of this life,
I choose joy,
With each birth,

With each death,
I choose joy,
In good times,
I choose joy,
In bad times,
I choose joy,

Dear Lord Jesus,
I choose Your Joy most high God!
